Alan Leake is the Founding Director and Principal Structural Engineer of Collective Consulting, bringing more than 25 years of experience delivering civil and structural engineering projects across Tasmania and Australia.
Graduating with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 2002, Alan is recognised for leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams and delivering practical, efficient, and buildable engineering solutions across commercial, sporting, industrial, education, and public infrastructure projects.
With a strong focus on innovation, low-carbon design, material optimisation, and modern engineering technology, Alan combines technical leadership with a passion for continuous improvement, digital engineering, BIM, and engineering processes. He is particularly passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers and technical professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within Collective Consulting.
Known for his practical mindset and ability to solve complex design challenges, Alan works closely with architects, builders, developers, and government stakeholders to deliver commercially focused and technically robust outcomes.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys spending time with his partner Amy and their blended family, maintaining an active lifestyle through gym training, running, and outdoor pursuits, while embracing Tasmania’s lifestyle, culture, and travel opportunities across Australia.
